It’s a Dog’s Life. Is that a good thing? It depends on when you ask!

The phrase, “It’s a Dog’s Life”, was first penned in the 16th century. It was meant to insinuate, that if said about your life, you must live an unfair, unpleasant existence, like that of a working or hunting dog with little appreciation or compensation.
Fortunately, that has changed. Our pets are part of the family and if single (a huge percentage of our population), your pet may be called, your “fur baby”. Today, “It’s a Dog’s Life”, could very well mean living the life of luxury, with going to Doggie Day Care to swim and play with your friends, going for a walk for ice cream, traveling everywhere with the family and proudly parading around a cute outfit with a matching designer dog collar.
Today’s pet parent legally takes on a responsibility for keeping their pet well cared for, which is as it should be, of course! In fact, the legal system in some cities, declares that the pet owner, is officially the pets guardian, and thus must make sure their pet is comfortable and all of their needs are met. Yes, we agree that this is logical and sadly, needed to become law.
Since you are reading this, you clearly care about the welfare of pets. So, thank you so much for being a kind, loving, compassionate person who has changed, “It’s a Dog’s Life” to a positive, fortunate way of life.
